Are all your products made in the USA?

It wasn’t easy to make it happen, but we’re proud to say that our bedding and towels are 100% made in America. Yes, 100%. From field to finished product, absolutely nothing is outsourced or overlooked. This not only keeps jobs at home—it makes it easier for us to provide you with well-made, luxury quality goods.

What inspired the creation of American Cotton

Our founders, married couple Jane and Jeff Tauber, have a thing for textiles. For Jane, an Interior Designer, it might have to do with her family history—her mother sewed and her great-grandfather was in the embroidery business. For Jeff, it was a passion cultivated over years of working in the industry. Together, they had noticed something: that good-quality, American-made textiles had become almost impossible to find. In particular, the bedding market was full of products that were either made overseas or cheaply made or too expensive. So, Jane and Jeff did what any good, textile-loving American would do: They started their own business. 

How do you support America veterans?

Our commitment to country doesn’t stop at creating 100% American-made bedding and towels. We’re also passionate about supporting our nation’s veterans. That’s why for every five sets of sheets sold, we donate one set to an American veteran. It’s our small way of saying thank you to the bravest among us.

How do I edit my cart?

To edit your cart on desktop, please follow the steps below!

  1. Mouse over your Shopping Bag in the top right-hand corner of your screen, and click "Bag."
    2. When the bag screen opens, you can decrease/increase the quantity of the item or remove an item altogether.
    3. If you decide to add more items to your cart, click "American CottonTM" in the left-hand corner of the screen.
    4. If you’re all set and ready to pay, select "Checkout."

How can I cancel an order?

Our Customer Support team can typically help you cancel your order within 5 minutes of placing your order during business hours Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM EST. Please email support@americancotton.com for assistance. Please note, due to packaging and shipping orders to be delivered as soon as possible, cancellations cannot be guaranteed. In the event where you are unsuccessful in cancelling your order within the advised time, please contact support@americancotton.com for instructions regarding returns.

 

Can a discount code be used when purchasing a gift card?

Discounts only apply to physical merchandise sold. Therefore, discount codes do not apply when purchasing a gift card given that gift cards are monetary sums in contrast to physical merchandise. However, we are currently offering gift cards at a discounted rate without the discount code.

Our Products

Where is the cotton for your products grown?

Our cotton is grown in small batches in the American Southwest. We use only long-staple cotton fibers—the strongest and finest type—to make our Cool Flow Cotton.

 

How is your cotton woven?

The cotton is spun into smooth single-ply yarn and then woven into fabric using our proprietary method. It’s a bit of a secret, but we can tell you this much: The nature of our weave allows air to flow more freely through the fabric while maintaining the integrity of the fiber. This creates an exceptionally soft, breathable, and durable sheet.

 

What is thread count and why is it misleading?

Thread count is simply a measure of how many threads are woven into one square inch of fabric. The idea—promoted by marketing executives for years—is that the higher the thread count, the softer and more durable the sheet will be. But it’s not that simple. To start, thread count doesn’t take into account factors such as the material and yarn used, which have a much bigger impact on quality than thread count. What thread count are American Cotton products?

The nature of our weave makes it impossible for us to quote a thread count—but as you might have guessed by now, thread count is only one, often misleading, factor to consider when it comes to choosing good sheets. In fact, a lower thread count sheet made of high-quality fibers is likely to be softer and more durable than a higher thread count sheet made of low-quality fibers. We’ve developed a weave that allows us to open up the fabric for superior breathability while maintaining the integrity of the long-staple cotton fibers. The result is a soft, breathable sheet that will keep you cool—and stand up to the washing machine.

 

What are Perfect Fitted Sheets?

With extra deep corners and a special all-the-way-around elastic, our patented fitted sheets snap right on and stay put. Skip the battle of the fitted sheet and get right to the good part: tucking yourself into a crisp, fresh, airy pair of sheets. Our patented fitted sheets are extra wide elastic around the base and this means your sheet stays put. They have deep pockets in the corners to make it easier to put on and take off. Our patented construction creates a perfectly smooth surface and fits up to an 18" mattress.

 

How do I wash American Cotton products?

With proper care, our bedding and towels will last for years and years. Follow the instructions below to keep yours looking their best. The laundry care for Cool Flow Cotton bedding involves washing in cold water and tumble dry on medium. Because Cool Flow Cotton is natural, 100% cotton, it may wrinkle. You can iron if you’d like…though we’re pretty sure a few wrinkles never hurt anyone.

 

Payment

Why is my credit card charged upon order placement?

In compliance with our policy and to keep your information secure, American CottonTM does not store your credit card information. For that reason, at the time of ordering, we need to charge your credit card. Nevertheless, you can cancel your orders before shipment to receive a full refund.

 

Will I be charged sales tax

State sales tax will apply for customers in New York and Massachusetts. After the shipping address has been entered at checkout, your Order Summary will show the calculated sales tax.

 

How is a coupon applied to an order?

You can apply the coupon code at checkout on the right-hand side of the screen. One coupon is permitted only per order. Sometimes you might forget to add your coupon code but don’t stress it. You can reach out to our Customer Support team by clicking here and we’ll handle it!

 

What should I do if I entered the wrong billing address?

Returns

What is your return policy?

If you’re unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 60 days of delivery. (Delivery is defined as the date the shipment was marked delivered by the carrier’s tracking number.) Once the return is received and inspected, we will credit the purchase price back to the original payment method less any expedited shipping charges. American CottonTM does not accept returns on gift cards or international purchases. Our apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

How do I exchange?

Exchanges are unavailable currently. You can simply return your item and repurchase the item of your choosing. 

 

Do I get charged for return shipping?

Do returns have a restocking fee?

American CottonTM does not charge a restocking fee for any returns received within 60 days.

Which shipping courier do you use?

We currently use UPS, USPS, and FedEx (dependent on the state).

 

Do you offer free shipping?

We’re pleased to offer FREE Ground Service on all orders in the U.S.

 

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Absolutely! All orders within the U.S. come with an expedited option for either one-day or two-day shipping at checkout. Below are the shipping options we offer:

One-Day Shipping ($38.00) 

Expedited shipping is not currently available for P.O. Boxes, international or APO shipments. 

 

Do you offer international shipping?

International Shipping is also available for a fee of $79.99 per order.

 

Can my shipping address be changed once my order has been placed?

Our Customer Support team can typically help you change an address within 15 minutes of placing your order during business hours Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM EST. Please email support@americancotton.com for assistance. Please note, due to packaging and shipping orders to be delivered as soon as possible, a change of shipping address cannot be guaranteed. How fast will my order come to me?

Excited about your American CottonTM purchase? Orders placed before 2PM EST generally ship the same business day, and all ground orders typically ship within 24 business hours of being placed. Once shipped, ground orders typically arrive 5-7 business days from the time they leave our warehouse. All orders will be delivered Monday-Friday, as we do not offer weekend delivery.

 

Where is my order shipping from?

All orders are hand packed and shipped out of our warehouse in Cornelia, GA.
